About the SWEA Swedish Christmas Fair

SWEA Toronto’s annual Swedish Christmas Fair started in 1982. Each year the Swedish Christmas Fair attracts thousands of people who come to enjoy Swedish food at the Café, the Lucia procession, the Swedish Folk Dancers and Choir, the Children’s Loft with Crafts, the Book Corner, the yearly Swedish exhibit and of course the large selection of Swedish designed products. The Swedish food in the ‘Mathörnan’ or ‘Taste of Sweden’ as we also call it, provides the Scandinavian population and adventurous visitors with all the key items for a Swedish Traditional Christmas ‘Smörgåsbord‘.

The Swedish Christmas Fair is SWEA Toronto’s largest fundraiser of the year. The money raised each year goes towards donations and scholarship programs. SWEA Toronto supports the Swedish Church, the Swedish School, the Swedish Folkdancers and Singers and other Swedish related cultural activities in the GTA. Each year we award scholarships to Ontario students who have been accepted to study in a Swedish university.

We thank you for your continued support of the Swedish Christmas Fair.

Have a wonderful Christmas. God Jul!
