SWEA Toronto’s annual Swedish Christmas Fair started in 1982 and launched an online store for preorders during the pandemic. Each year the Swedish Christmas Fair attracts thousands of people who come to enjoy Swedish food, Lucia, Toronto Swedish Folkdancers and Singers, the Children’s Loft with crafts, the Book Corner, the yearly Swedish exhibit and of course the large selection of Swedish designed products.
The Swedish food in ”Mathörnan”, or ”Taste of Sweden” as we also call it, provides the Scandinavian population and adventurous visitors with all key products for a traditional Swedish Christmas Smörgåsbord.
The Swedish Christmas Fair is SWEA Toronto’s largest fundraiser of the year. The money raised each year goes towards donations and scholarship programs. SWEA Toronto supports the Swedish Church, the Swedish School, the Swedish Folkdancers and Singers and other Swedish cultural activities in the GTA. Each year we award scholarships to Ontario students who have been accepted to study at a Swedish university.
The Swedish Christmas Fair 2025 will be held on November 22 & 23 at the same location as last year – the George Brown Waterfront campus located at 51 Dockside Drive, Toronto. We can’t wait to see you!
